FairShare is built for universities, sixth forms, and high schools in the UK and beyond — so group work is coordinated, visible, and fairer without replacing your LMS.

Built for schools and universities

Universities School trusts Sixth form colleges

FairShare supports transparent project delivery, contribution visibility, and staff oversight for group work.

Inside the workspace

A single interface for the work students actually do together — not another silo.

Built for how schools really run group work

Three entry points — same platform. Positioning for your website and procurement decks.

Universities

Module teams and labs need clear ownership of tasks and docs before submission to Moodle, Canvas, or Blackboard. FairShare sits beside the LMS for execution, not submission.

Sixth form & college

EPQ, BTEC, and A-level cohorts balance autonomy with oversight. Contribution signals help teachers coach groups before grades are at risk.

High school

Structured projects with safeguarding-aware chat and activity. Use school-mediated accounts where your policy requires it — we support institutional conversations, not consumer-only signup.

What is FairShare?

A web workspace for coursework and team projects: shared tasks and documents, real-time chat, activity feeds, and contribution-oriented analytics — designed to reduce free-rider dynamics and make collaboration visible.

Project workspaces

Members, deadlines, and everything for one group in one place.

Contribution awareness

Dashboards highlight participation patterns — a signal for educators, not an automated verdict.

Institution-ready

Security, privacy, and subprocessors documented for IT and DPO review — see our Security & trust page.

What you get

Core capabilities teams use every week in one focused interface.

Tasks & boards

Assignees, due dates, and views that match how the group plans.

Docs & exports

Rich documents in the workspace with export when work is handed in elsewhere.

Chat & activity

Project channels and feeds so coordination stays next to the work.

How FairShare fits your stack

We don’t replace your LMS or your chat tool — we focus on fair, visible group execution.

What educators say

Feedback from early adopters using FairShare in teaching and project settings.

“Finally something that shows who did what before the deadline panic — without us digging through five different tools.”

Dr. A. Rahman Module lead, UK university (pilot)

“We needed a clearer picture of group balance for EPQ — FairShare gave us a shared workspace and a starting point for conversations.”

Head of Sixth Form UK independent school

“Procurement asked about GDPR and PDPL alignment — having a written security page and DPA template made the conversation faster.”

Compliance posture: FairShare is designed to support institutions subject to UK GDPR and the PDPL. We sign Data Processing Agreements where we act as processor, document subprocessors, and work with your DPO on transfers and retention. This is not legal advice — your counsel confirms fit for your context.

FAQ

Educators, students, and procurement — including questions we hear in school procurement conversations.

Who is FairShare for?
Higher education, sixth form / college, and high school group work where you want clearer coordination and fairer visibility into contributions — without replacing your LMS overnight.
Does FairShare replace our LMS?
No. FairShare focuses on group project execution — tasks, docs, chat, and contribution signals. Most institutions keep Moodle, Canvas, Blackboard, or Google Classroom for modules, submission, and grades.
How do you handle UK GDPR?
We document our role (often processor to your institution), list subprocessors, support Data Processing Agreements, and describe retention and security on our Security & trust page. Your DPO validates fit for your school.
What about PDPL and cross-border transfers?
Institutions should assess transfers (e.g. UK/EU hosting or AI subprocessors) under applicable PDPL rules. We provide information for your transfer analysis; legal sign-off sits with your organisation.
Is student data safe?
Run FairShare on a properly configured host, use strong authentication, and follow our security documentation. We do not market FairShare as a consumer toy — it is intended for institutional use with appropriate governance.
What does “contribution analytics” mean?
Signals from activity and tasks — useful for coaching and spotting imbalance. They are not proof of misconduct; instructors remain responsible for academic judgment.
SSO and school domains?
Campus-tier customers can discuss SSO and domain allowlists as part of procurement. Roadmap items are confirmed in writing — not promised on this marketing page alone.
Can we export data if we leave?
Institutional contracts should define export and deletion windows. The product includes export paths for key artefacts; confirm scope with sales for Campus agreements.
How do we get started?
Book a demo, run a Starter pilot with one cohort, then move to Team or Campus when procurement and safeguarding sign-off are in place.
